In the Spring of 2020, brothers Tristan and Jackson Mason were band-less and had all the time in the world to write songs. After gaining traction posting covers on social media, the brothers were inspired to record and release their debut single 'Talk About It'. In two months, the newly shared track had performed surprisingly well giving them the confidence they needed to put out more music. As Fall came around, Luv, Mason filled out their sound bringing in drummer and longtime friend, John McDonough, into the group to combine their already Power-Pop sound with relentless Punk-inspired drumming. It was then that the band found their signature sound of power chords, unique melodies and unrelenting vocal harmonies. After months of writing, Luv, Mason took 9 songs to Railroad Park Recording Co. in Westport, MA over the first week of 2021 to record their debut album, 'The Both of Us'.
Released on June 18th of 2021, it was shortly after that the band debuted live for the first time at the Worcester Palladium alongside local heroes, Good Sleepy, Another One Down!, and Socially Problematic Children.
Over the next 3 years, the band spent their time playing all over New England as they continued to write and release some of their most adored singles such as 'Sun Feels Like Drugs' and 'Feeling For You'. It was towards the end of 2023 that the band made one of their boldest decisions: to reinvent itself and to branch out into the world of cover music. With so much local opportunity to perform, the band morphed into 2 different identities: Luv, Mason the punk band and Luv, Mason Acoustic. While the original side of them never slowed down, they attacked 2024 playing over 25 different acoustic sets to gain them as much local exposure as possible.
As the band continued to develop it's identity, it also became clear that it was time to change the direction of their recording process, which brought them to the legendary Woolly Mammoth Sound to work with longtime producer and performer, David Minehan of The Neighborhoods. 2025 is proving to be an exciting year as they are working towards their second full-length record with Minehan and are loading up with acoustic shows.
Luv, Mason attempted their first studio cover back in February 2021 with help from their good friend, Dani Ferreira. It stemmed back to the early winter when Ethan half-jokingly suggested covering P!nk's 'Who Knew'. He had heard it on the radio and thought Luv, Mason could pull off a really cool version of it. The idea evolved quickly and eventually led to them asking Dani to make it a duet, since Dani had always expressed interest in working with the band. It took no longer than three rehearsals for them to get in the studio and lay the song down to be their third promotional single for their album, 'The Both of Us.'
Located in Westport, MA Luv, Mason has been working on projects at Railroad Park Recording Co. since they were in high school. Luv, Mason has always relied on the team of longtime friends, Kyle Therrien and Clinton Lisboa to produce a professional grade end-product.
